I am forgetting of mushrooms!

Tonight for supper, I am making stroganoff, and I am thinking - what?? There is stroganoff, not being on the livejournal! This is not good! So I am fixing.

For stroganoff, sometimes there is beef. But I am making for vegetarians, who are also eating.

Mushroom Stroganoff

1 lb mushrooms, stemmed, cleaned, and sliced
4 tbs butter
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp paprika
1 large onion, sliced thin
2 tsp fresh thyme
2 tbs sherry
1/2 cup boiling water

First, onions are sauteed - this is not hurried! Go slow, and with heat of not too much strongness. When they are golden and soft, butter is added. Now, I am saying, do not leave out the butter! You think it is for health, well, so is tasting. Put in all the butter, and the mushrooms, which are cooked till soft. Then, sherry is added. If not sherry, I have used, for emergencies, shao sing, which is rice wine. Also paprika and thyme, and then the water. This is boiled for fifteen minutes, so will be thick and tasty. At the end, you stir in sour cream, and wait until it is hot and steaming.

Serve with rice or noodles for vegetarian friends.

Also, there is mushrooms, being aphrodisiacs. For Madame Ilyana, butter is also aphrodisiac!

Here I am editing, which is writing more at later time, because I am told by my sister, Princess Aurora, that love-making properties of stroganoff have earned of it special nickname, which is clever.

Now the recipe must be called of "Mushroom Strokemeoff".

I am done with the editing.
