Condos and author visits
I had a Daytona Beach condo in mind for my 9-day vacation that's coming up (16 days!) but something was nagging me about it. It didn't feel right. So now I'm going to wait until the last minute to call the other places that looked promising and hopefully get a deal on one that isn't booked. Would waiting until the weekend before when my first day of vacation is Wednesday be too early to inquire about those types of deals? I don't want to be stuck calling Tuesday night and finding everything gone.

shlafe, I have an author coming to visit the library on Thursday. It's a bit nerve-wracking. I'm terrified that I'll have only one or two kids show up and/or nobody will have any questions to ask. How humiliating. Perhaps I should generate questions and plant a couple of ringers in the audience. heh...sounds like I'm staging a military maneuver or something. I did tell the kids that she will be doing the drawing for the end-of-summer grand prizes, so maybe that will motivate some of them to attend.
