It's a New Year so how about some new friends for your LJ?!
I stole these points from
sullen_hearts so you could also go over to her LJ and look for friends there if you are already her friend. Or something. I'm getting quite confused by this whole thing, I am having a bit of a stupid day.
1.) Post a comment to this entry giving a little bit of information about you, your interests, what sort of friends you're after etc
2.) Read the comments other people have left and reply to those you would like to add
3.) Advertise the frenzy on your own journal so more people come to join in
4.) Add lots of new friends and have fun
5.) As the host you don't have to add me, I'm just the middle man. However, if you do want to add me, just let me know in your comment.
Anyway, so here's some stuff about me:
Hello, I'm Bethan. I'm 26 and I live in Cardiff with my two pet rabbits Fear and Chaos. (yes, they do embody their names, in case anyone wonders). I have a lovely boyfriend who does not live with me and to whom I occasionally refer in LJ posts. We have been going out for a little over three years now.
I have recently come back to LJ after a while of not really reading or posting, I don't post a great deal any more but maybe if I got myself some new friends for the new year then I would be more vocal again. It does seem to be very quiet here of late. Everyone has obviously left for Facebook. Gah.
Like Rebs I write fanfic, or certainly have written copious amounts in the past and am picking up on it again now after a bit of a break. I pretty much exclusively write Libertines fic (Peter/Carl) I have not found anything else nearly as inspirational.
Speaking of bands, my favourite band is the Manics, other bands I love are the Libertines, Dresden Dolls (and all Amanda Palmer's various projects), the Guillemots, Florence and the Machine and more generally shouty insane women.
I spent last year watching 100 films, so I am a bit filmed-out at the moment and picking up reading again. So far this year I have already finished one book! Authors I love include Bret Easton Ellis, Dennis Cooper, Margaret Atwood and Jeanette Winterson.
Recently I have become obsessed with Bill Hicks, the late stand up comedian. I do have a bit of an obsessional streak, other things/people I have been obsessed with previously are Due South/Paul Gross, David Tennant, Dr Who, Samuel Beckett and Stephen King. I realise this paragraph makes me sound slightly insane. Oh well.
Also I am currently obsessed with designing my next tattoo, I already have four and I always want more. Tattoos are marvellous.
