yesterday i built with habitat for humanity. it was ok; not nearly as involved as i was hoping, but it would be cool to volunteer there for a long time and learn some carpentry.
afterwards i pretty much fucked around the whole day. i bought an ugly couch but have little clue how i'm going to get it to my apartment, and if it gets there i'm not even sure we'll be able to get it in the door. way to plan. but then, thanks to the lovely diana, i learned how to roll sushi and we made about 10 rolls of tasty avocado and cucumber and sesame and wasabe-mayo sauce thingies. and had green tea ice cream mochi, and inari, and generally stuffed ourselves. other interesting things happened. but because i'm a big pussy i was in bed by 10, despite it being a First Friday. I just really wanted to not do anything. It's good to do nothing.
today i must find a truck and move the couch, and i also have a lesson at domba today. thank god. thank...THE POPE.
