So in effort to get better results physically at the gym and to help with wrestling training I've employed a personal trainer. I have a workout schedule. I have an eating schedule. I work out 6 days a week. I am on it.
Today I had my first day with him. I nearly vomitted after working out. It was both the most intimidating, horrendous experience I've had in a while mixed with one of the most amazing experiences I've had in a long time. We have the goals set for the month as well. It'll be interesting to see how this whole thing plays out.
This trainer is no joke! He totally pushed me today. I never grunted or "gaaahhhh" while lifting weights, and I think, had it been me alone, I might have dropped the weight levels down. But I kept them and pushed thru. It was....
It was awesome! It's great to see how far you can go when you really dedicate yourself to doing something. I loved that certain things he's like "this is going to be difficult" and I went through it with grace. Inversely, certain things that seemed easy were not. And after all the high intensity weight lifting with bursts of cardio inbetween only to return to a HIIT cardio session at the end? THAT was the kicker! Wooo
I'll report in more after Friday. He said we were going to step it up some on Friday. I am both afraid and eager to do it again!
