my blood was stolen
So the doctor has me fast starting last night at midnight. I took a shot of "100 Anos" and said good bye to food. Seeing as my appt is at 845, no biggie right?
I was estimating 3 vials. When I was called in at 930 they tell me I will have to be there at least 2 hours because the doc wants to run a sugar test. explains that Im gonna drink some god awful sugar punch and have blood drawn every hour at the same time for 2 hours. I yet to negotiate another way which is denied.
So she's getting ready to draw blood and I ask if she wants my left arm because Thats where they had out ivs in the past. She said No, I had good large veins. I squirm. Make sure she doesn't want my left arm and she reassures me that I have more than one vein. Im laying down and Cody is covering my eyes and *prick* .....wait wait wait, pain....pain....why is this hurting?... SHE STOLE 4 VIALS! Feh!
Then i drink this stuff and sit there playing my DS, hour later they come in - same arm, STOLE ANOTHER VIAL!
Then this lady comes in, asks me to pee in a cup. Then another lady walks in, says she here to give me my depo shot. told her to take the right arm since its already a pin coushin. She leaves.
Then the original nurse comes back. Asks if I want my left arm this time (no i wanted it there in the first place) I ask if it'll be harder since she's tapped it already. She says no but Im gonna bruise. remark, "sweet, ill look like a junkie!" SHE STEALS ANOTHER VIAL!
This time blood drawing is painful. I leave feeling ditzy and by the time I hit ameci Im slurring words, repeating myself, and making incomplete sentences.
In case you didn't know, i lose lots of blood on normal basis, so them stealing 6 vials threw me off I think.
Then my head started pounding and i was focusing weird. All these symptoms lasted a good half hour - 45 min. with the incoherent parts *slurring, repeating, etc* taking up the first 20 min. I felt somewhat better after food but laying here in bed now I still feel out of it.
I hope I don't end up bleeding tonight. Now is not the time, lol...
