Hooray!

After so long internet-less, I am back. Huzzah! So yea, the internet has been down at camp for the past week and a half, and let me tell you, you've never seen a group of camp counselors angrier than when you take away all internet capabilities up in Kelseyville, CA. We didn't even know about the terrorist threats in the UK until a couple days ago. Anyways, in our own little bubble everyone got pent up and such. Finally one day last week Laura and I took her ibook in my car and went down to Buckingham (aka the rich people summer home part of the lake) and drove around slowly until we found a unprotected network and went online. It was glorious (and felt a little like Ocean's 11).

So yea, camp is over for the summer. It went very quickly in my mind (faster than any other summer). The last group of kids (the 13 and 14 year olds, really nice campers) left yesterday and the staff left today. Yesterday I consumed probably the most alcohol over a day. After the kids left we went to a Mexican restaurant and ate our hearts out and I drank a pitcher of margaritas by myself. Then we came back to camp and I promptly took a nap on the floor of the rec tent until 5pm. Then I got up and drank a 12 pack of Bud Light, then went to the bar at 11pm and had two vodka tonics. So basically I was drunk as a skunk and even woke up this morning drunk. Crazy! I feel a little sleepy right now but ok overall.

I don't know how I feel about camp being over. As silly as it sounds, Camp Konocti has become such a big part of my life, and it's hard to think that someday it won't be there for me. I don't know for how long I'll go back year or in what job, but I know that I definitely will have to go back, because who knows how many summers I'll have left to have fun up at camp with some of the greatest people ever?

Also, Kerry and I are still semi-together. I drove her back today (since she lives in San Bruno, can it get any better?) and we're planning on hanging out this week. She leaves for school on next Monday (the same day I leave for my roadtrip with Laura!), and after that we don't know what will happen, but we'd certainly like to try something. We shall see what happens.

And I seriously just might go to bed now. Time for nigh-nighs. Byeeeeee
