Hmmm... I'm not actually a veteran ^^; I'm just a beginner in Japanese, and more so in translating. But if my translations can help other D18 fans read their doujinshi, then I'm happy.

Hmm, but your translations looks great! Does learning Japanese hard? I'm a Chinese translator and it's thanks to my having study in a Chinese primary school that I was able to do it, although sometimes during the translation I also have to flip though the dictionary... \o/

Yup, it's hard. But it's precisely because I'm a beginner, so I need to put in 100x more effort into what I am translating compared to veteran translators to be as accurate as I can.

Like I said in the profile though, my translations are based on how I understand it, and may or may not be how it's supposed to be translated. That's why I always always say to the readers to please read my translationg along with the original doujinshi. ^^;

So if you guys find any mistakes in my translations at all, please don't hesitate to correct me~

Do you have any problem during the sfx? I had difficulties while trying to translate sfx. Do we just translate them literally or should we experiment and flip through other doujin to get the correct sound produce during a scene? T_T

Hmmm... I'm not sure how sfx is done in Chinese translations, but the original Japanese sfx are pretty straightforward and easy to translate.

Sometimes, if there are some sfx that is also tricky, so yup, you can look at other manga/ doujinshi for reference (preferrably scanlated ones, so you can compare how the sfx was translated).

Some artists use different variations too. Example, when a character is taking pictures, some use "pasha" and others "kasha", but as long as it's close in sound, most likely it means the same. ^^

It's fine, no worries~ I wasn't around before too. I had to leave for a while due to my final papers... ^^;;

Mmm, I'm working on Happy Summer Time by Banyu right now. And the sfx could be taken literally because the first translator did an amazing job of translating them from the Japanese raw. So, for this one, I don't think there will be any problem regarding the sfx~

Though, after I'm finish with the translation and typing, I might consult other doujinshi to make the sfx sound more natural.

For the different variations of sfx, I kinda understand. But, the sfx should just sound as close to the real sound, then it's fine already, right?
