The whole poem "Her Kind" by Anne Sexton is brilliant.

Not so far, I just like the idea of women and madness, because it is so true. The Madwoman in the Attic : The Woman Writer and the Nineteenth-Century Literary Imagination. I'm in the middle of this book right now; it's so good and it talks about just this issue.
