My favorites are Sylvia Plath (my obsession from the age of 13 is no longer funny--except to me), Anne Sexton (the witch lady, I adore her), Frances Farmer (love the movie, read the book loved it too),Elizabeth Wurtzel (yes I'm in the Cult of Lizzie), Jeffrey Eugenides (he has an honorary vagina for writing about mad teens in The Virgin Suicides), Nicole Blackman (what's happened to her?)
favorite books on madness? The Bell Jar, Prozac Nation, More,Now,Again,The Virgin Suicides,Wasted.
favorite films which document or hint at "women & madness"? Sylvia (somewhat poorly done, but a nice attempt),Frances,Splendor in the Grass,Girl, Interupted,Eternal Sunshine,Heavenly Creatures,May, Gia.

do you have personal experiences which have been touched on in this community? Yes. Proudly mad from adolescence onward and not just in that teenaged way--Depressed, somewhat manic, and medicated for your safety.
