Ohh you have absolutely no idea how excited I am to find someone who is as passionate about frances as I am. My obssession with her started at age six. I just recently bought some pictures on ebay, I cant wait to receive them in the mail.
As for what you just said, I total agree. Its amazing how all these women were so far ahead of their time. And why they were some how consider insane. In fact if you were in the mental ward and won some kind of prize for your talent, you were then released and sent home..
Your life was depending on your good luck charm. IF you are interested and like to continue talking and sharing about Frances..add me at belowyourbeauty.
Ohh there are a few items on ebay...you should check them out.

Thank you so much! I've just had a quick look at the second site (on my way back to bed!) - it looks absolutely fascinating. I can tell I'm going to be there a long time later on!
I'm definitely adding you! I don't know as much about her as you do - I've always been interested, but I tend to get overtaken by my main obsession with Sylvia Plath...I really look forward to finding out more.

Ohh that would be my wife who is scenario_1956, if thats the one your speaking of. As for the site I havent gone through the whole site, but pieces here and there. I'm very impatient and I get quickly frustrated. Ohh did you know that during the Clinton administration, a letter was sent to him from some organization, requesting a law to be passed having to do with the human rights of mental patients, they used Frances Farmer as an example in this letter. Theres a whole site about the rights and laws of mental patients. Its very interesting, I will look for that site as well.

Ohh the site that I'm talking about I had posted it recently..if you scroll down you will see it.
I haven't had a chance to see your journal, but my wife told me you got some stuff published. I admire your dedication to Sylvia...it makes me feel at ease with my obsession with Frances.
When I was a child, I had found the movie Frances. I watched that movie religiously, I even cried at times. My mother was so upset that she threw the video tape, mind you I was 10 years old. And I watched that movie for 5 years consecutive.
I wasn't sure when I wanted to go back and learn more about Frances, I almost felt that the time wasn't right until a year ago. Lola

Thank you, I'll do that!
Yeah...I just got another poem published on the 31st Dec, just waiting for the anthology to arrive - more exciting than the others in a way because this one is about Sylvia.
I cry all the time when I watch things relating to Sylvia - or when I'm reading things. It depends...but when I do cry, I really do...it's quite comforting to hear what you say about the Frances film (although of course you were younger then, so I'm not sure! I cry at the drop of a hat when it comes to Sylvia).
I can understand that feeling about the time being right to find out more - I started liking Sylvia over 20 years ago, but it has been particularly the last year that I've really immersed myself in her work and life.
