So. Planned on waking up at 5 this morning to study for my AP US Gov exam. My alarm went off and I was like, who am I kidding. Slept until 6, Blake came to drive me to the testing center because I am too scared to drive there myself, took the test, which wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be. Aliya and I grabbed some Subway and she dropped me off so I could drive to school. There ends the okay part of the day.
10 seconds after I go into my house, the doorbell rings. A guy from DTE asks me how I am doing and then informs me that if I don't pay him $168, he's shutting off our electricity. Unfortunately I don't have $168 on me so he proceeds to turn off our electricity after telling me to have a nice day. (Don't worry, we're not poor, my mom just forgets to send in her payments on time). I don't know what else to do but to go to school. I hop in my car and find my keys in the ignition from this morning, when my mom rolled my car windows up so she could turn on the sprinkler and water the flowers. (My mom can be quite forgetful, I'm sure you've figured out by now.) I go to turn on my car and it doesn't start, and I realize that my battery is dead and I have no way of getting to school. Luckily, Blake was in a giving mood and was willing to take me to school.
It doesn't end there. My sister's bathroom is being remodeled and my dad installed a new toilet. Well, the wonderful craftsman that my dad is, gets something wrong with the installation and when the electricity was shut off, water goes everywhere, don't ask me how. So now I am left without a car, without electrcity, and with a flooded basement. Awesommme.
