Big companies are trying to take over the world again? No wai!
For anyone who doesn't follow the LJ news blog, you've been missing out on some big shit. I can't even keep track of what all is wrong and why, it's so overwhelming, but I'd recommend y'all check out Cleolinda's summary and thoughts on it (follow her links, she's been reporting on this since it first started and has much experimenting to share on the new connection to Facebook/Twitter and pingback things).
Ugh, I hate this. I like LiveJournal and I like Facebook, but they keep pulling these privacy invasion stunts. I already left DeadJournal due to lack of community. I don't want to immigrate over to a new site that may or may not keep its users. I definitely can't leave Facebook. All but maybe two of my friends are on there, including some that I'd never stay in contact with if there wasn't a giant social networking site to remind us of the other's existence (and contact information).
I'll be looking into a Dreamwidth account no matter what happens, but for now I'm going to wait and watch, maybe decide whether I want to be mad novelist again or use a different name on a site with more options available.
