I have got to stop letting myself take naps just because the cat got on my lap and it sounded like a good idea at the time. I really needed to pull an all-nighter and instead I felt sick to my stomach with a massive headache. Catch-up sleep should not make me feel more tired than I already was!
Two finals down (although one was completed two weeks ago), two to go. Barely completed my art project in time for class today, with the whole exhaustion thing and whatnot. The Bamboo tablet works about as well as the Intuos4. Someone who does detailed paintings on PhotoShop would probably be unimpressed for reasons an amateur artist like me wouldn't understand, but it gets lineart and cel shading down pretty well. The only problem so far has been the way my cat keeps shoving it off my lap so she can cuddle. Also, it looks awful in any program that isn't PhotoShop, but I think that's a tablet thing. Even the Intuos looks ragged in Paint.
Of my remaining finals, one is a short story that just needs one more paragraph or so, the other is my speech class monologue. I've never memorized anything before (Bible verses don't count, 'cos they're usually short and I was bad at that even during Awana), so I'm not really sure how to go about it. I've got the first paragraph down, but after that I start slipping up and I'm not sure if I need to go over the same sentence again and again, or the same paragraph, or just read over the entire thing until I have it down. Is it important to read it aloud? How many times do I need to read it without looking to be sure I've memorized it once and for all?
I'm so tired I can't even bring myself to be excited for all the writing and video gaming I can get back to over summer. I just want to nap, maybe do some housecleaning.
