I hate being in-between healthy and sick, where I could go to work/class, but doing so might make me feel worse, or am I just using that as an excuse for a day off? Well, thankfully(?), after feeling mostly healthy (but not healthy enough to be sure of myself) when waking up this morning, I ate something and became very, very dizzy and nauseated. So, day off it is, no debating or feeling guilty.
Feeling kind of exhausted from throwing up thirty times yesterday. Could have been a stomach virus, but I'm suspecting it was food poisoning. Just wish I had an idea of what caused it. I thought food poisoning took 48 hours to kick in, but after doing some research I found out that it can be anywhere from a couple of hours to two weeks after eating the offending meal before the throwing up happens, just depending on what kind of food it was. Well, that narrows down the culprit, doesn't it?
Urrrgh, so now I have a whole day of homework lost and Monday is probably not going to be much better, considering my energy levels. I really need to get some good illness foods (Gatorade, popsicles, etc.) from the grocery store, but that would involve a five block walk there and back and I haven't been able to so much as take the garbage out yet.
I think what gets me is "Sorry, I don't have my homework because I got sick" doesn't hold up as a very good excuse, when "Sorry, I'm sick and can't come into class today (unless you want me vomiting all over your desks)" does. Maybe because the latter is backed up by lack of going to class, whereas there's no way to prove that the homework couldn't have been done Sunday or Monday due to horrible illness.
