Okay, wait, what the heck is this? And why does ANN's page on it only mention the American staff when the DVD claims to be in both languages? Is it a movie? OVA? A giant slideshow/flashback with Ryuk's commentary? A complete retelling of the series from Ryuk's point of view that will last another nine discs? Who made it anyway, the American or Japanese company?
I'm curious as to what it is, but there's no way I'm spending money on something with such a vague summary. It makes me suspicious it's just more milking the series for all its worth. I know money needs made and all, but there's a difference between making profit and just plain selling out.
Also, this is random, but why is it English versions of Japanese songs are just mere silhouettes of the original? Something about having to fit English lyrics to the precise number of syllables doesn't work. I first noticed this in Ishida Youko's "Sugar Baby Love" and now I've found I like Utada Hikaru's song "Hikari" much better than its English counterpart "Simple and Clean."
