(no subject)
OK i started my new 'tide-me-over-while-i-still-jobhunt' job last night - pizza delivery kicks arse! Cause i know the area pretty well, i got some pretty good times down for my first night, and the guy in charge is very impressed for my first day - cept for a little hiccup when i got lost in a little village i didn't even know EXISTED nearby. One thing i'll say is that i hate hats. they make my head itch and they'll always pull my hair out of my hairband. The thing is he'll get me to do the phones every now and again when it's quiet and pay me a lil bit more, as most of his staff are students from overseas, and their accents are pretty difficult to understand. He's not being racist or anything - he's asian, and most of his employees are from the same area as he's from. A few of the guys that work there are locla, but have that new 'chav/pikie' kinda accent and not many people like that kind of accent - apparently, compared to them i have the equivalent of recieved pronounciation.
but it was agood night - i'm looking to go out tonight, so fingers crossed.
