Holy cow, yeah my own brain is thinking through what just happened to us this morning and it relates.

I am kicking myself over the fact that I was likely awake near a fully open window when it happened, and yet heard nothing. Soddin' ears.

But it has made people think what could have happened if I had heard it...I even have the actual weapons in mind to engage with. Battle-axe and mace, as those are the easiest ones to grab on the weapons rack near the front door.

It has occurred oddly enough to myself, maybe it WAS a good thing I've lost hearing.

Otherwise my overwhelming direct urge is to "remove from the genepool", preferable immediately. It's like how R.A.H. once said, "When someone says It's know of my business, but...you should supply a period at the end of that word But...preferably with a gunshot."

You suddenly understand how it worked in the real world and how that gentleman got acquitted for gunning down those four people in the New York subway. Literally the view of a jury was "We fail to see a crime committed your honour." It's like that plea in Texas, "Your Honour, he just needed killin'."

And where was everyone else on the TTC at that time? Did the two people just become "invisible" or something? Of course they may have felt that "not our concern" (And where have we heard that way too many times...) or they may have even perceived that you WERE putting the young punk in their place by standing up to them. Hard to read or judge.

You are not alone in feeling that some things are unacceptable. And you bring satisfaction that you indeed did not "let this slide", some of us might not have been near as forgiving. (If that's the word for it.) But we know you will firmly stand for "Right and Wrong, and the difference isn't so hard to determine." And to us, that means that is one friend we will continue to treasure and protect.

This is becoming a Picard speech, sorry about that.
