Well, that was a busy week

It's County Trials is, basically, a bog standard, weight banded (ie the judoka fight against someone in their own weight category and their ages are immaterial - although, obviously, children don't compete against adults) judo competition that sees the four medallists (gold, silver and 2 bronze) being selected to represent their county. time of year again, down here in sunny judo land.

Bum numbing bench seating apart, I think I am going to enjoy tomorrow. On the one hand it's youngest son's last year competing as a junior, on the other hand D (the child who has always beaten him) is already a senior, so is not going to be an issue. Actually, I think one of the reasons I *really* want to be there tomorrow is because I think that D might have to fight his older brother (and I kind of want to see him getting royally creamed).

That doesn't really explain the subject line, does it? Well, because child and I have to be at judo ALL day my daughter got naval volunteered into looking after mum on her bf's only day off, so I promised faithfully that I would get mum's garden nice so they could sit out in it. So to that end, I have been gardening pretty much solidly since Tuesday. There has been ivy clearance, there has been patio cleaning (twice!), there has been grass cutting, and there has been the moving of plants and the planting of new ones- *falls into a heap*

Somehow this post looks sort of naked without a mention of Tardis Big Bang...

judo, family
