Okay, so not *lost* exactly but hubby's GPS took us off the motorway for reason's best known to itself and while were finding our way back to it we found this
I forgave the GPS for about 15 minutes and then it sent us to a petrol station that *wasn't* (any more) and I came within a hair's breadth of throwing my crash helmet.
And illustrates nicely why I *won't* have GPS. I managed fine with an atlas before GPS and satnav became common and I'll continue to manage fine, thank you. I realise it's a damn site easier to do that when you're in a car and not on a bike though.
I've never used it in my car, it's hubby's toy entirely and he loves the fact he can tell it to save a route so that afterwards he can see *exactly* where he was when he took that picture.
BTW we have a ton of photos of Tioram - we got there when the tide was out so walked over and scrambled around for about an hour :D
It has these mad moments when it resets itself to its default "show shortest route" instead of "quickest" I think it maybe thought it had given us a great 4 days service so it deserved to pull a fast one on us.
