I has mail
Please be advised that we are currently awaiting spare parts, as soon as the parts come in we will allocate your laptop back to an engineer to continue with the repair.
Erm are they really telling me they don't have an appropriate adapter handy??
It's a repair centre, you'd expect they'd have *one*...
Or am I being a bit naïve?

Our dishwasher on the ward broke. Now a dishwasher is a fairly essential aid in helping to stop cross infection you would think, wouldn't you? So it should be dealt with handy, like. It was seen fairly quickly by the in-house repair team (hours) then we had to wait days for the contractor to come out and *then* we had to wait while they ordered a part.
The dishwasher was broken for nearly a month in the run up to Christmas, traditionally one of the busiest times of year, despite frequent phone calls from the ward staff. NOT good. Stupid NHS.
At least with Carrot being privately owned and *small* things should happen faster.
