For those of you who don’t know. I have a sister. 15 months older than me (dec 6th if anyone’s interested.)
I just found out that she’s getting married to her now 2 year boyfriend Andy Gorham (not sure of the spelling.)
He’s quite a quiet chap (got a stutter he tries to hide) I haven’t been able to hold much of a convocation with him about well anything. I know they share a view of tolerance and not categorising people by the groups they adhere to i.e. chavs/ trailers. Although I believe this to be a good but not be all & end all rule to go by since the groups have a reputation because of the members…. Anyway I digress.
He took her to the Windsor theatre. They both seem to enjoy it. It was the expensive seats. Then they went off to a pub dinner, at the end he produced the ring.
Details of the ring
9 diamonds in a square
Oh yes and it fits too
No sign of it being the ring of power though. :P
Tina as you may guess is somewhat hyper. This is most likely the most hyper I’ve ever heard her. (we talked on the phone.)
Think caffeinated chipmunks on acid. This approximately describes it.
How they met
Well this is the oddest one ever. They met at the Christmas party at St Sebastian’s church Crowthorne 2006.
His chat up line was (and I’m quoting from memory) ‘I asked god today that if I’m to get married, my future wife would be at this party. And well you’re the only lady my age hear. (that’s the main bit. But I guess after that came some sort of would you like to dance kind of thing). They are both devout Christians. Especially Tina. I guess that’s why the chat-up line worked so well.
Well they started dating and actually seem quite happy.
I think that she’s been wanting to get married now for rather a while now. I asked her if she gave him an answer or not. She of course gave him a quick YES!
I just don’t know quite what to make of it all. To tell the truth my first reaction was SHES CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZZZYYYYYYYYYYY. But then again love does that to people.
But she really is.
Just think I now have to workout a bunch of pranks for the wedding honeymoon and reception, car everything I can.
On a nicer note: my initial thought for a wedding present is a music video purpose made of her wedding to ‘in a country churchyard by Chris de berg. But that’s mainly for the line ‘let your love shine on until the day you fly’. And given mum & dads wedding vows. I think its rather a nice touch.

lyrics:
http://www.lyrics007.com/Chris%20De%20Burgh%20Lyrics/In%20A%20Country%20Churchyard%20Lyrics.html My parents in their wedding vows (also devout Christians) acknowledged the possibility of the rapture happening during the rest of their life together. I don’t know if Tina will or not but I think it’s worth reflecting on at the very least.
thats all for now ill have a stiff drink and try to let it sink in a bit.
