My first week at work started out with a bit of site maintenance which I can handle like nobody's business but by the end of the week they handed over the development of a new site. It's trial-by-fire for certain - I'm learning new stuff as I go along and although it's going well I worry about things like- Am I spending the right amount of time on each section? Are the fonts right? Will this be cross-browser friendly? Exciting, huh?
Yesterday Andy and I went to Central Square to meet and friend of a friend in Engerland. She invited us to brunch at a little Mexican place - I've never had eggs with salsa before yesterday, although I wonder now what took me so long. After brunch and a tour of the Cambridge area the spouse and had a brief wander by ourselves which included a stop at the best art shop ever. Three floors full of everything I could want to dip my fingers into. And the prices were starving-artist/ student cheap - in Ohio I used to rely on chain stores like Michael's that charge ridiculous prices for any and all art supplies. This is me flipping Michael's the finger.
I watched the U.S., Italy match with the Mr. yesterday. I have not words enough. I speak not English great.
Andy is on the couch at the moment watching Brazil and Australia with the odd shout at the screen. Sometimes he shouts because of the action but mostly he likes to shout at the American commentators.
