Note to the weather: warm up already!

I haven't posted in a couple of days. Not that I don't have anything to say, nor am I being shy. I have too much that I want to write about but don't feel like boring anyone with the details.

Andy's parents were here on visit from the U.K. for a week. We did as much touristy stuff as we could manage despite the rainy weather.

I need to preface this by saying that Andy and I both have a childish sense of humor but, did you know that there is a chain of liquor stores in Salem named Bunghole Liquors? I kid you not.

Bank of America is sponsoring some sort of program whereby members of said bank can get themselves and a guest into participating museums for free. We've been trying to take advantage of this as much as possible. One of these days I'm going to visit the art museum for the day and sketch studies of some of the paintings.

I've been running outdoors to try and break up the day. The current favorite running spot is Minuteman Park but that may change soon. Yesterday it was full up with kids on a field trip. I was so sick of dodging and tripping on over-caffeinated kiddies that I cut my run short by about 1/2 a mile. The adults they were with made no effort to control them or keep them in a line so that the joggers/ bikers/ hikers could enjoy the trail as well. The kids (8 - 13 years old) wouldn't get out of the way for people and on parts of the trail you couldn't go around them without running into branches and foliage.

We went out with some of the people we met on the zombie march last saturday and met a few new people as well. It's great to get out and socialize - I can't wait to get a job if only so that I'm not stuck home alone during the week.
