William! Where are you?!

Whoa! Hello everyone out there in live journalling land. Since I last updated Thanksgiving is over, I can walk, my ankle is no longer the size of a well-stuffed haggis, and I am 6000 miles away from where I was!

Been in the land of kilts for a while and I've tried haggis (mmmmm tasty), blood pudding (or is it black pudding?), and joined the celtic society where I prance around attempting to do ceilidh (Scotish country dancing which is oddly reminicent of Mr. Paul's freshman P.E. folk dancing unit). It's still bleating cold around here, so I finally understand the merits of drinking tea all day long and getting sloshed from whiskey every night (booze-day Tuesday is the biggest going out night of the week!)... cask strength anyone?

Spring break kicked ass, as we had 2 whole weeks instead of a measly 1 like in Claremont. I went to Italy with friends for the first week. Venice, Florence, Rome, art museums, churches, canals, murano glass, the David, the Vatican, the Coloseum, fantabulous food, lots of wine, and gelato every day! I know, its a hard life, but someone's got to live it. After that I came back to the U.K., saw the best friend (LOVE being on the same continent as her for the first time in nearly 11 years!), hung out with the rents, and once again FAILED to see Prince William when we visited Balmoral Castle and Holyrood Palace. And on a less happy note, bird flu has reached Fife! (here)

I was doing pretty well on the whole being away in a new country thing, but a huge wave of missing everything from school and home has just sat on me like a chubby elephant. Well, that'll pass, atleast I'm not wandering around telling people that "I'm at the bottom of my W curve" (any of you Butler kids know what I'm talking about?), if I hear that expression again I might have to slap someone. Well thats about it from itty bitty St. Andrews. Hope y'all are having awesome semesters! *Muah!*

Love and sloppy kisses,
Parimal
