I was calmly walking along, minding my own buisness, contemplating the true meaning of life when suddenly, out the the blue, my friend Bonnie freakin' jumped on me, swinging a large club above her head, wearing an evil grin, and laughing loudly! As if that wasn't bad enough she hit me in the knee with the club, leaving me lying dazed and confused in the middle of the hall with rug burn on my tummy! What the crack?! Is her name Bonnie or TONYA?! That beast has a promising career in boxing.
Okay, okay fine, she didn't actually jump on me, but she is pretty scary, y'all should meet her. There is even a facebook group dedicated to her scariness. I kid you not. Anyway, in reality I was running down my hall and tripped on my own freakin pants, my legs came out from under me, I hit my knee and skid a little across the floor, actually getting rug burn on my tummy. Sometimes life sucks. Macy Gray wasn't kidding when she said "I try to walk away and I stumble."
Onto real news... I went to NYC over Spring break which rocked my socks. The Producers is the funniest musical I have ever seen, I absolutely loved it. Two other highlights: I had dinner at Bubba Gump with Giselle and Michael! The "run forest run" and "stop forest stop" signs that make waiters either zoom past you or stop and help are definately the coolest things I have ever seen in a restaurant. Fun times continued with missing 3 stops on the subway, having to get directions from the driver, and watching Giselle be run into by two bicycles, several people and almost by a car. We found a SUPER Asian jewelery store called "So good jewelery Soho" that was crammed with so many earings, bracelets, necklaces, hairties, Asian people, and weird music that I thought it was going to burst. We also stalked a potential celebrity, who probably wasn't famous at all. And I saw Little Women! The obsession continues... three copies of the book, both movies, and the play was clearly not enough, I had to see the musical.
Yesterday I saw a cadaver and a brain with the spinal chord still attached, which was surprisingly hairy. It was awesome. I think the lack of squeemishness is a good sign towards continuing on the pre-med route. Oh yeah, Bride and Prejudice is freakin hillarious!! I wish people broke into song as often in real life.
I still hate peeps.
