I love music. As a habit, I usually like to take a few of my favorite lyrics from a song and post it up, mainly so I can look back and see what I was listening to. So here are those posts. =)

Chop Suey! - System of a Down
Wake up,
Grab a brush and put a little (makeup),
Grab a brush and put a little,
Hide the scars to fade away the (shakeup)
Hide the scars to fade away the,
Why'd you leave the keys upon the table?
Here you go create another fable
I don't think you trust in my
Self-righteous Suicide.
I cry, when angels deserve to die.
Love Addict - Family Force 5
"Doctor, oh Doctor
I've got an emergency.
It seems I'm head over heels,
A case of L-O-V-E.
It's like I'm glowing inside.
A lie I can't hide.
And if this feeling is bad,
Then I don't want to be right.
What I got in my soul gives me my highest delight.
'Cause it's better then drugs.
In fact, it's sent from above."
Faster Babe - 2AM Club
"There's no looking back, my baby.
There on their track to tame me.
If they want a fight,
Well I'll be warring them.
But I'm not the one to defend."
Ever since I started to listen to 2AM Club, I've loved all of their released music. I honestly cannot wait for their new album!
Everybody Loves Me - OneRepublic
"Got love for the people that have warned you
Got love, all your sentimental virtue
Eight balls with the takers that'll make you
Lay cards with the lovers that'll hate you
And you don't have to make a sound
'Cause they got what you need
What you need
Make you say,
"Oh my!"
Feels just like I don't try
Looks so good I might die
All I know is everybody loves me
Get down
Swaying to my own sound
Flashes in my face now
All I know is, everybody loves me
Everybody loves me."
Marchin On - OneRepublic
For those days we felt like a mistake,
Those times when love's what you hate
Somehow
We keep marchin' on
For those nights that I couldn't be there,
I've made it harder to know that you know
That somehow
We'll keep movin' on
There's so many wars we fought
There's so many things we're not
But with what we have
I promise you that
We're marchin' on

Updated list of songs stuck in my head (or my lost ipod). Currently listening to:
Bad Little Girl - Alana Grace
What can I say? This chorus gets stuck in your head and you end up shouting it when you're pissed. =/
"Bad little girl,
Rotten to the core.
Ain't no friend to me no more.
This is not a fight,
This is not your fault.
This is go to hell and you know why."
Teeth - Lady Gaga
This song is so damn infectious. The beat is so rhythmic. Probably one of the most played songs on my playlist. Not too mention the various meanings to the song makes it fun trying to figure out.
"Got no direction,
Just got my vamp
Take a bite of my bad girl meat
Show me your teeth..."
"Tell me something that'll change me,
I'm gonna love you with my hands tied..".
"Got no salvation, Got no religion (My religion is you)."
We're Here to Save the Day - The Constellations (feat. Asher Roth)
I'm so happy I found out about The Constellations. They're the first band to make me love an entire CD since Panic at the Disco's A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. <3
"When the stars
That shine so bright.
We get in cars
And ride so high with superstars.
We're not afraid to say
We're here to save the day."
You Lost Me - Christina Aguilera
Another break-up song. Aww. Christina Aguilera sings the most bittersweet ballads. However, the "Radio Mix" is just awful. It's fast tempo completely ruins the mood and tone of this song.
"Now I know you're sorry
And we were sweet
But you chose lust when you deceived me
But its too late.
How can I ever trust you again?
It feels like our world has been infected.
And somehow you left me neglected...
Babe, you lost me."
Don't Pretend - Travie McCoy
I love this song. It's so touching, and once again, it's another difficult romance/break-up song. Very creative on Travie McCoy's part - you can hear him "crying" in the back.
"Don't pretend.
I'm never gonna give you up.
I'm never gonna let you down.
Don't pretend that he is just a friend...
Don't pretend that you will ever love again."
The Other Side - Bruno Mars
I love this song, mostly for it's lyrical content. There's so many alternative meanings to this song! =)
"I'll be waiting on the other side
And you, all you have to do is cross the line.
I could wait a whole lifetime.
But you just got to decide.
We would live forever.
Who could ask for more?
You could die if you wanted,
But baby, what for?
It's better if you don't understand...
If you knew what I was, you'd run and hide.
Many have tried to go over the line
And come back alive
But that's the price we're paying
When you're living on the other side."
The Way We Move - Innerpartysystem
I am such an obsessive Innerparytsystem fan. This song was on their previous album alongside "Don't Stop." I initially didn't like it, considering my aversion to slow love songs. Second time around though, this song is just so awesome. Why am I such a fan of difficult romances? IDK either.
"She was simply just concept,
Simply just a concept (baby, come on)."
"Now I'm standing on the edge of broken confidence
And this will be the thing that makes it right."
American Trash - Innerpartysystem
Love this song. It's from their new album. Despite having a completely different sound than their last album, this song still manages to feel like a "Don't Stop" part 2. While 'Don't Stop' focused more on the our society's obsession with fame and living the celebrity lifestyle, American Trash focuses more on how utterly delusional American society has become.
"I've got this planet in my hands
Yeah, I'll try to save it if I can.
I'm satisfied with myself.
Don't care for anyone else.
I'm so united when I stand.
I get my facts from the TV,
Believe in everything I read.
It's such an ignorant bliss,
When the whole fucking world wants to be like me.
('Cause I) I'm just American Trash."

OCT 24 2009
Sooo - new songs on my ipod that I absolutely love. =D
Leighton Meester ft. Robin Thicke - Somebody to Love
"Baby Girl, Where you at?,
Lookin' at me like a putty cat,
Wonderin' where that thing is at,
Wonderin' where your ring is at..."
One Republic - All the Right Moves
"Paint a picture of the perfect place,
They got it better than anyone's told you,
There'll be the King of Hearts,
And you'll be the Queen of Spades,
And we'll fight for you like we were your soldiers"
Freemasons ft. Sophie-Ellis Baxter - Heartbreak (Make Me a Dancer)
"I tried to pull myself together,
Try to forget you all the day,
The tears I cry,
They won't subside,
Unless the music starts to play"
White Town - Your Woman
"You can't play me that way,
Well I guess what they say is true...,
I could never be your woman."
Britney Spears - 3
"Are you in?
Living in sin is the new thing,
Are you in?
I'm countin'...!"

Vox: OCT 18 2009
I <3 music. I listen to all types of stuff. But there's one thing people find odd - I don't bother remembering the names of bands or artists. Nor do I favor one genre over another. I'm more into a song's meaning and symbolism. Interestingly enough, most of the songs in my iPod are really up-beat electro and dance/club songs.
So as of October 2009, these are the songs on my iPod, currently stuck on repeat:
"I wanna take you out tonight,
I wanna make you feel alright,
I don't have alot of money but we'll be fine,
No, I don't have a penny,
But I'll show you a real good time..."
Right now, I'm really into Little Boots. She's absolutely amazing. Writes and composes all of her music from scratch. I'm completely obsessed with her song "New In Town." It's just the kind of song you want to sing along to at the top of your lungs... even if you sound like a moron.
"But the ones that loved me told me to stop...,
Cause I do not accept any less,
Than someone just as real - as fabulous,
Don't want no paper gangsta,
Won't sign away my life to,
Someone who got the flava,
But got no follow through..."
Also love listening to Lady Gaga. I'm over Paparazzi though... onto Paper Gangsta. Can't wait for Fame Monster to release. =D
"They will not force us,
They will stop degrading us,
They will not control us,
And we will be victorious."
I'm also in love with Muse's "Uprising." Very politcal, powerful, and kick-ass.
Notable mentions:
- Cobra Starship feat. Katy Perry - Starstrukk
"I think I should know how,
To make love to something innocent,
Without leaving my fingerprints out..."
- Lady Gaga feat. Space Cowboy and Flo Rida - Starstuck
"Baby, we're all alone,
Got a request?,
Would you make me number one on your playlist?"
"Whose gonna fight for what's right?
Whose gonna help us survive?
We're in the fight of our lives (And we're not ready to die),
Who's gonna fight for the weak?,
Who's gonna make them believe? (I've got a hero)....
And if it kills me tonight (I will be ready to die)..."
"You always hedging on a safe bet,
Walking a tight rope with a safety net,
Face it,
It doesn't mean shit unless you take a risk..."
Of Montreal - Id Engager;
"He's just a slutty little flirt,
And sister,
He's only going to hurt you (Watch yourself)"
