On Tuesday I finally went with Iga, a friend from uni, to see Sweeney Todd. I liked it although the minced meat at the opening and later seemed to be disgusting to me. xD Good they made blood's colour so paint-ish, I'm not sure I would have watched it so 'peacefully' hadn't it been so non realistic. ;)
On the Friday morning my mom got a call my grandpa had just died and we rushed to his place. We got there before 8a.m. and he was still lying in his bed with a handkerchief on his eyes and Teresa, his second wife, was all tears. I remember thinking it was all so abstract and irrational, him lying as still as a piece of furniture. We had to wait for almost 2 hours for Styks workers to come and take him, so the waiting was very painful. My mom had to take care of everything with her brother and from what I know tommorow is the funeral. I think it's better he died at home, not in the hospital but still I have an impression it happened to someone else, not me. Especially that we had a pretty normal Easter breakfast, considering the situation. What surprises me is how Alicja, their 10 years daughter, seem to not really care, well, she is sad for sure, and my mom thinks up ways to cheer her, but she only bothers about her mom not to cry or asks how long mourning should last and that a year is too long. I don't really know what to think of it. I mean, I guess I somehow knew he would pass away soon, in a year or two maybe, so I kinda 'got used to' this thought, but still.. I don't get her behaviour, she lost her father after all.
On Saturday I went normally to work to busy myself with something. Wasn't as hard as I had thought it would be and I survived a day!
Well, life goes on and now after all this I have hardly made anything for classes.
