december has begun
so it'd be good to write something. xP In chronological order: 3 weeks ago took place Falkon convention, I won 2 books as well as my sis. It was held in a new place therefore it wasn't "the" Falkon I always remembered, plus many ppl I'd hoped to come didn't or I met with them only for a few minutes. 2 weeks ago there was a party for my parents' friends and this Saturday for my family due to all those namedays and birthdays that were in my house in November and December. :) And yesterday on my nameday I met with Roberto, we talked and talked and talked and ate sweets and took some silly photos with our mobiles. xD It was fun. ^^ I also met my old friends from architecture by accident and they want me to go to skate some time with them and participate Christmas Eve they're making, hehe. Now I'm wondering if they call me anyway. :P
Changing the subject if it was about me I'd be really curious what people do on graphics studies, therefore I'll show you some things of what I've been doing recently.
Lets start with something that's been taking me weeks. Copper plates! xD
Those ones have layer of "asphalt" made of amber and other weird things. We are to make tiny dots in it and etch it in acid. AND make 180 copies for graphic techniques. *dies*
I made these for graphic arts, the african warrior is made with dry piont and the girl is aquafort (acid again). Unfortunately the plates are scratched so the prints don't look as nice as I'd like them to. *pff*
This is aquatint, where you don't make lines but whole stains. I've had this idea for a long long time and decided to use it here. :) There are two gangsters, one wanting to light the other's cigarette, the second one thinking the former has gun points his own gun at the first gangster. I dunno if it's understandable from the picture itself. xDDD (Especially I can't draw/paint guns. xD) I also have no idea how will the print turn out, this technique is a great unknown an I'm curious wether it comes out at least a bit similar to the project. ^^; I'll get know tomorrow. xD
Now some painting. They're still unfinished but oh well, I like them anyway, taking under consideration I've never actually painted and therefore never liked what I painted on my preparatory classes. xP
This is Ms Krysia that is always our model and I also had her on my entrance exam. :) Someone came out with the idea to make her wear an ugly dress, and everyone else moaned about it, but I was pleased that for once I didn't have to be carefull with anatomy. xD
And now something we started on computing classes. We were to make a 12 frame animation in Corel. xD I didn't really know what to make, so I made an animation with a yuke-ish looking Root. xDDD
Last but not least. Has anyone talked with Red recently? What's with our New Year's Eve? Plus I've got to talk to him and can't get in touch with him. >_>
And could anyone point me in the direction of where can I switch between S1 and S2? Not that I need it right now (althought I got really REALLY angry when I started looking for that), I've got more important things to do, but yesterday I was flicking through customise site and it was gone. Or I'm blind. Since they ripped the layouts off from vox I can hardly find here anything. Or at least where can I change the bar etc.. ;__;
