On Sunday I had to wake up at 4 a.m. (ok, I overslept a bit xD) to get to a train station and meet with
toluenesister and her friends. When we get to Katowice Red's friends packed them to a car and gave them a lift to a hotel; Red and I headed to Spodek. When boys came back we went for brief shopping in Biedronka market, and then waited for the doors to be opened. Everyone got a paper bracelet without which wouldn't be let in after breaks, and was forced to leave everything in cloakroom having payed for it first of course. First band that gave performance was some Fair to Midland from Texas. I even liked them, although the main minus of their songs was that every song sounded just as the previous one for me. @@;;; Then there was a Polish band called Delight, nothing really special the vocalist sung with very poor English to me. Oo; After that Coma came on the scene. I don't really listen to them, I know only one song everybody knows ("Spaadaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam, powoli spaadaaaaaaaam..." xDDD). But I liked it anyway. I suppose I'd have more fun if not for idiots who were jumping and headbanging and throwing their limbs in every possible direction. >_> Fortunately it ended without any victims in people. xP When the band finished and I was getting out of the crowd I'd already heard fans scanding "Dir en grey! Dir en grey!" And just as I thought when I came back it was very hard to get to the stage. I ended up in a sixth row I guess on the right side therefore I had a perfect view for Die. :) I could hardly see Totchi, not to mention Kaoru who was the furthest from me. Just before the end those three switched places *giggles*. From time to time I was staring at Shinya and all those amazing things he was doing with drums. I know everybody write that he's so tiny and skinny and still has such powerfull arms but actually SEEING IT LIVE, well, that's something extraordinary! Even Red's friends, who definitely hadn't come there for Diru begun to have respect for him. :> But mainly my sight was atracted by Kyo, that little thing in golden sneakers. Somewhere in the midlle of second or third song, it was Obscure I think, he put his tshirt on his head and was singing like that for a moment and then just took it off, causing all the fangirls to scream and cheer, haha! What I didn't like was that 50% or so of the songs were babbled, not actually sung :/ But still I loved when he sung 'properly', with his deep and touching voice. And I learnt he can sing veeeeeeeeery high. 8D They gave almost one and a half an hour performance, I got sprinkled with Die's water and was so so close to catching Shinya's drumsticks! >.< When they left I went to find any stall with merchendise, and I bought 2 t-shirts. Unfortunately I was cheated by the sales girl, I asked for 2 Diru shirts, and well, the second one, taking last Diru's PVs under consideration, looked like a proper one, but now I've noticed it has Fair to Midland inscription on the back. Pff! Well, I'll either give it to someone or sell on allegro. xP The main band of the festival was Tool, but I didn't participate the show, I went out to the back of Spodek to wait with other for Diru to show up and get authographs. Bodyguards didn't want to let to many poeple so I passed my CD to someone. We waited for 2 hours, as I heard Diru members were watching the show, exept for Kyo who went straight to a coach. Meanwhile we found a small cat that was fawning on us, purring and jumping on our knees, the concert was over, Tool's fans came out and I lost any hope to get my CD back as we had to go. Fortunately that girl's sister has already taken my adres. Pity I got know they didn't give any authographs, at least not after the concert. :/ I met Jun with friends after Coma and he was squeezing a Polish flag with Diru's signs! _O_
We got to Red's place around 1 a.m., my neck all aching. Surprisingly I woke up at 8 a.m. and was feeling perfectly fine! No pain, no jingling in my ears... xD We watched Spiderman 2, Red has a perfect place for watching movies in the basement, with great sound and cosy huge pillow-poufs to lay on, it'd be good to have one. xD I took some movies from him and we had to go back to Katowice so I wasn't late. Geez, it's such an UGLY, dirty and sad-looking town.. >_> Plus I was cheated (again!) in McDonald's, they gave me a sandwitch without meat! xO Pity I had it take-away and realised what had happened in a train, otherwise they would remember me! xP
And a battery in my mobile went dead, for the whole day I was cut out from the world! Please remind me to take a recharger with me to Ponań! xDD
No photos unfortunately. I have only 2 taken with a mobile, but you can hardly say what they depict.. xDD
As for now I found only one
video, but of very poor quality..
Now only 3 days of work aaaaaaaaand..... meeting in Poznań! :D :D :D Uhuhuhuuu!~~ ^0^
Gosh, I still can hardly believe I SAW THEM LIVE! xDDD
