"My phone hates me..." That was always what Daiki would say.
"Then get a new one..." His friends would suggest.
"You don't get it." Daiki would always answer. "I'm cursed. Whatever phone I'll have, it'll hate me. This technology just hates me."
Proof #1
It was the making for 'Arigatou~ Sekai no Doko ni Itemo' and Hikaru, Keito and Daiki were staying inside the studio since they have time to spare.
Hikaru and Keito were just randomly strumming his guitar while Daiki was on the couch, lying.
Daiki was playing with his phone.
And just when Hikaru glance back to Daiki to say something, it happened.
Seriously, it looked painful. Hikaru tried hard not to laugh. Keito though, has stood up and approached Daiki worriedly.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
Daiki sat up, rubbing his face.
He looked at them, annoyed.
"Don't you hate it when you're texting lying down on your bed and all of a sudden your phone decides to be ninja and slips through your hands and attacks your face?" Daiki suddenly said.
Hikaru tried to straighten his face. "Yeah, I hate that." He said, trying really really hard not to laugh.
Keito just nodded.
"This has never happened to you, did it?" Daiki asked.
"It did! Many times now." Hikaru said, lying.
Again, Keito just nodded, going with the lie.
Daiki saw through it and sigh, lying once more on the couch in surrender, "It happens to me at least once a week. My phone really hates me."
'Or maybe you should stop texting while lying on the couch?'
Proof #2
Daiki was again scolded by their choreographer for being late.
So now he sitting by the corner of the studio, sulking.
Takaki decided to approach him.
"Yo." He greeted and Daiki looked up.
"This is the third time... my phone really hates me." He suddenly said.
"Eh?" was the only thing Takaki could say.
"My phone's alarm clock's not working..." Daiki said, pouting at his phone.
"Ah... so that's why you're always late..." Takaki said and Daiki nodded.
"What's wrong with it?" Takaki asked. He didn't really know much about technologies but his phone's alarm was working just fine.
Daiki shrugged. "I don't know."
"Well, why don't you try setting the alarm right now. Let's see what's the problem." Takaki suggested.
"Okay..." Daiki said as he set his alarm for the next minute.
They waited and then it rang. It was working fine.. the problem was...
"Daiki, why did you set up the orgel version of 'Dreams Come True' as your alarm tone? Even I would fall right back to sleep if I heard that." Takaki said laughing.
"Eh?! I set KAT-TUN's 'Change Ur World' as my tone! Why did it change?? Ugh! It's my phone! It really hates me!"
The next time Takaki had suggested that he'd just call Daiki in the morning to wake him up.
It worked. Daiki answered the phone but then...
"Yo, Dai-chan, you're up. I guess I'll be your alarm clock now."
"Hmmm..."
"Dai-chan?"
"Ahh...."
"You're awake, right?"
"Mmmmmm....."
That day, Daiki was scolded again.
"Yuyan said you'd wake me..." He pouted at Takaki.
"I did." He said simply.
"Eh? So it wasn't a dream?"
'Nope, Daiki can't really blame his phone.'
Proof #3
"Dai-chan, we're getting off..." Inoo had said, poking the sleeping Daiki. The two of them and Yabu were on the cab on their way to the studio for a Shokura recording.
Daiki stirred on time and Inoo and the three of them got off.
The cab had already gone when it happened.
"My phone is missing!!" Daiki exclaimed.
"Are?" Yabu and Inoo said simultaneously.
"It's missing!" Daiki said, frantically looking inside his bag.
"Ah! I must have dropped it in the cab!"
"Relax, Dai-chan, maybe it's in your pocket." Yabu said.
Daiki checked. "Nai..."
"Bag?" Inoo suggested.
"Nai!!"
"Did you check in your bag's pocket?" Yabu said.
"I did! It's not there! It must be on the cab!"
And Inoo and Yabu were surprised but suddenly Daiki were running chasing the cab.
The two of them tried to catch him but he was too fast. So they just waited for him.
About five minutes later, he was back looking downcast, and sweating like mad.
"It's not in the cab..." he said.
"You... you actually caught the cab?" Yabu said, half-amused, half-shocked.
"Maybe it's in your bag's pocket, check it again!" Inoo said.
"I told you it's not." Daiki said opening his bag. "I already--Oh, it's here!!!!"
Yabu and Inoo shared a look.
"Mou! This phone really hates me!!!"
And Yabu and Inoo shared another look.
Proof #4
Yamada was surprised when Daiki started yelling.
"Come again?" He asked. He didn't really understand what he'd just say. He was still in a daze. He had just woken up.
"My phone's missing!!! I can't find it anywhere! I just had it!" Daiki said.
Yamada chuckled. "Dai-chan, relax...."
"Relax??? What do you mean relax?? My phone! And Julie-san said she'd call me today!!!"
Yamada's smiling face faded.
"Dude. You're talking to me on your phone." He deadpanned.
There was a pause.
"Oh..." Daiki said. Yamada imagined he'd looked at his phone.
And before Daiki could say it, Yamada beat him to it. "Yup, your phone definitely hates you."
Proof #5
"Oh, I forgot to return Dai-chan's phone." Chinen said. He had borrowed it earlier cause he wanted to play. Dai-chan's phone had many games.
"Should we go back?" Yuto asked. They were on their way back to school for afternoon classes. They had work in the morning.
"I don't think they're still there. Dai-chan and Ryuu have the CM filming today." Chinen said.
"Oh. Then just mail Ryuu so he could tell Dai-chan his phone is with you. Dai-chan might panic again." Yuto said.
Chinen nodded.
He mailed Ryuu with his phone. 'Ryuu, is Dai-chan with you?'
Immediately Ryuu answered. 'No, I went home first. We'll meet a little later. Why?'
Chinen replied, 'Oh, tell him when you see him that I have his phone with me.'
'Okay.'
And then it happened.
Daiki's phone rang.
A new mail.
'Dai-chan, you're phone's with Chii so don't start panicking again.'
It was from Ryuu.
Chinen facepalmed.
"Yes, I know Ryuu. I know the phone's with me." He said outloud, sighing.
"Yup, the phone really hates Dai-chan." Yuto just said, laughing.
"Yeah, I think Daiki will continue panicking til Ryuu's 'a little later'." Chii said, joining Yuto in his laughter.
Proof #6
It was his birthday.
It was his birthday and his phone died on him. It just suddenly shut off on its own and now it wouldn't turn on.
His phone really hates him.
It was exactly 12 o'clock now.
He was sure the others had already sent their greetings and messages to him.
But his phone died on him.
So he won't be able to read those messages.
He was sure he'd receive long ones from Yabu and Inoo.. Short ones from Ryuu, since he gets shy with stuffs like that. Maybe he would get something in English from Keito. And Yama and Yuto, of course. He was sure Takaki would call. And maybe Chii would call as well...
He felt really sad.
And that was when he noticed it.
Something was stuck in his jacket's pocket.
He took it out and found that it was an envelope.
'To Dai-chan' was written on it.
He opened it.
'This is in case your phone decided to hate you on your birthday.'
Inside were messages from all the members and even from their sempais.
Daiki was so so very touched.
He smirked, looking at his phone, "Hm. You might hate me but there are many who loves me!" He declared, sticking his tongue out to his phone.
AN: Dai-chan, you're scaring me. /whacked.
Happy 20th Birthday! Honestly I am dreading this day, because this means I'll also be saying goodbye to my teenage years in a few months >.< but oh well...
