Boston, here I come!
I have officially been accepted to present a paper at the Popular Culture Association national conference in Boston in April! Yay! I'll be talking about the satiric portrayals of fundamentalist Christians in "Saved!" and how the implications of those portrayals could serve to validate religion-based homophobia. :) Hopefully maybe I'll find someone at that conference who's from Louisville and wants to give me a job...heh. Now to start applying for travel grants to make it a little less expensive. Or if any airlines or nearby hotels would like to sponsor me I'd certainly welcome it...hehe. :)
