2015 arrived unexpectedly...

It shouldn't have been a surprise, but 2014 has seemed to pass so quickly that I'm not sure how we got here already! :)

I've been on vacation since Dec 19th, and oh what a difference that makes in one's quality of life! LOL I get up in the morning, get done any chores or errands that need doing, can knit till lunch, go for a walk, work on various projects and read in the afternoon, and be social/watch television in the evening. Or after getting the necessities done (always by 9am, because I live in an apartment, and honestly, there's not that much to do, when you have more than two days a week to do it in!) I head out to visit with my friend and her son, or have my sister and/or some combination of her children visit.

It really has been lovely!

My resolution for 2015, I think, will be to make sure I'm making time for the things I love. 2014 was so busy at work that a lot of my hobbies fell to the side.

II hope those of you who celebrate Christmas had a great one, and that the rest of you had some very fun Random Days In December.   Christmas being my favourite (and mostly only) holiday, I always enjoy it to the fullest.  I have made (and eaten) an alarming amount of cookies (they were delicious), but I suppose I must return to a less sugar-laden diet now.  If only vegetables tasted like cookies!

For Christmas I got myself a season's pass for "The Librarians" on iTunes.  It's been fun, and I've enjoyed being able to chat about it with one of my friends.  We haven't had a show in common for years, so it's great to have that again!  Have you seen it? What do you think? The Christmas episode was my favourite, but also on the list of things I'm enjoying about the show:

1) It does not take itself even remotely seriously.
2) I want to live in that library.
3) This is old school special effects - think 80s. The minotaur is a man in a costume. It's awesome!
4) Eve is the fighter, and she's good at it. I love competant characters, and for the most part, these are.
5) Did I mention it looks like they are having fun? It's nice to have that in a show sometimes. :)

Happy New Year to any of you who are still around!
