I don't think it's going to be so bad. "Wide emotional range" is not something I immediately associate with Spike Spiegel, and the actor does look the part.

Then again, I found Hellblazer watchable. Which I maintain it was, if you just pretend it's an occult mystery and not Hellblazer. Kind of like the U.S. Godzilla was if you pretend it's titled "Iguandon 2000."
