I've been rather lax when it comes to LJ lately.
At the end of August Shadow rotated the tires on the car by hand and hurt something in his right wrist. After many trips to the doctor and specialists and MRIs etc. they determined that he tore the cartilage in his wrist, there would be no healing, surgery was the only hope.
This Friday he had the surgery. Of course in the meantime, I trip and fall into the bedroom doorframe, catching myself with my right hand. Now MY right wrist hurts. It's been two weeks, I'm in agony, and the x-rays say it's not broken. Hand doesn't look right. Dad, Mom, Shadow, Chiro and I all think it's broken, radiologist disagree...
I'm calling the doctor back on Monday and seeing if after two weeks calcification has set in enough for them to see the break.
And wouldn't you know, both of us are right handed... and I don't drive so I can't get Shadow to the hospital.
My father and older brother came out Thursday night to help us clean, and get Shadow to the hospital on Friday.
Shadow of course has been terrified of the whole thing. Worried that he would wake up with no arm. Or infection would set in and he'd lose his hand.
He's feeling lucky that he has all feeling and everything
