Yea Verily!
Long time no post, I know. I'm alive though and that counts for a lot. Faire season is over and has been for three or four weeks now I think. As much as I love it, I have to admit that I enjoy it when it is over. It is totally nice to have weekends back and spend time with the woman.
While I have been absent on LJ, I have been active on facebook cuz it has fun and applications that do not really require you to think. I like that on occasion. I've also been active on a couple of Star Wars costuming boards because I'm a geek. I've also been making and modding props and belts making a little pouch or two to keep busy. My muse has been coming back in bits and pieces and that makes me happy.
Work is going good for me of late. For a while (during the end of faire season) I was stressed beyond belief, but all is good now. I've had a chance to get some R&R and get things organized. S'all good. The boss fired a couple of people on wedsday or thursday. On top of the two other vets of the dept who've moved on to different areas so change has been happening around me. I think there is one person coming in on monday and another person starts in december.
The nieces are getting big. The baby is now a year old and walking and said TIO last night! That made me happy. The middle child is in school now and was doing very bad for a while. She was getting red lights every day. Why you ask? She talks to much. I've no idea where she gets this from *chuckle* The MacRican gift of gab rears it's ugly head in our gene pool once again. Not like any of my booth mates know anything about that though hehehe. The last week or so though have seen her getting Yellow lights which are better than reds, but obviously not near as good as green. The oldest one? The oldest one now lives in Florida and is doing well from what I hear.
