Dueling
Aiden vs. Laos
-Dueling 105: Laos tells the professor he will come in to help the students with their dueling (since he is practiced in it has at LEAST one duel a day keeps the doctor around all day! ...)
-long line of students, students are frightened to go first. Aiden John Orbil, who Laos knows but not well enough to NOT hex, is first.
-Laos had been making new hexes and experimental spells. Been working on a forcefield, sound barriers (limited diameter and to a small enclosed space) and sound waves)
-Aiden and Laos first put the protective barrier up first, required, and they meet in the middle, shake hands[show Aiden's hands slightly trembling, but show a slight lingering as Laos sees he is not like the other duelers, or people he knows. since all laos really wants is to be accepted and embraced, he sees this in aiden and is temporarily thrown off) , take seven steps back and turn to face each other.
-Aiden pulls out a pocket watch and wraps it around his wrist holding the circular disk in his hand as they take their stances. They stand in silence at first but Laos makes a quick "test the waters" attack of withdrawal, Aiden deflects and it smashes into the barrier and it wavers for a bit. Aiden realizes the casual flick of his wand caused so much power and immediately starts sweating profusely. "Remember, no volleying! Show him what you've got Orbil!" the teacher yells to a fried Aiden. He changes the air by thickening it to a fog like substance so niether of them can see or navigate, aiden puts up his own shield and Laos changes the temperature to freezing cold weakening Aiden's shield (without his knowledge.) Aiden produces a blue flame and it lights up the area, it rages towards him and Laos let loose his unfinished and untested shockwave. As it rushed towards Aiden, not knowing how to shield him himself, it hit him and he crashes into the barrier. and into the wall of books behind it. In his suppressed horror, he stops the book case from crashing onto him and several books while a few students helped him out. Aiden shot him ugly looks while he bled everywhere and was strechered off to the Infirmary.
The students were freaked out, but the teacher was thrilled. Show Laos looking out the opened door where Aiden went out.
Laos vs Dante
no formalties, no barrier Dante swings a fiery rope at Laos who catches it bare-handed (show Dante's shocked face) as it reels back and attempts to wrap itself around Dante. Dante jumps and twists mid air as it catches a tree behind him and it bursts into flame. Show other students try to put it out. Laos shoots little pins and needle at Dante who makes fine metal particles out of them and blows them back towards Laos who (is impressed!) barriers them (with MUCH concentration and effort of Laos to create a contained forcefield). Dante, who is close to stomping his foot swirls water from the pond nearest him and hurls it Laos who hurriedly freezes it. Not thinking, it freezes over beneath his and Dante's feet. They slip and rocket towards each other. a howl of maniac laughter erupts from Dante as he nears Laos rapidly. Arm outstretched he throttles Laos in the face with his left fist.
Suddenly the ice clears and the Dueling Professor yanks the two up by their robes and marches them to the Headmasters' office. As Dante tries to jinks Laos into total submission the Professor relieves them of their wands. Laos continues to bleed and Dante pouts.
