another year
I have written a lot of cards this last few weeks,
Christmas, and Birthday cards.
I Have received a fair few too.
And I was just sitting here, thinking...
another year has passed,
I haven't managed to meet up with most of the people I had promised to.
A brief note in an annual card saying another year has passed,
Let's try to meet up next year.
I think I wrote that in last years card too.
The thing is . I usually mean it.
I would like to see these people.
Spend some time, chatting , sharing food or a coffee and just catching up.
Some people live just that bit too far away to pop over and see,
And I have not been able to manage much while I was poorly this last few months,
But here as 2009 approaches....And my health improves daily,
I feel the need to try again to see people in the New Year.
So here is hoping that I manage it better next year!!
If I don't get back on here,
I wish you a happy time ,
in whatever way you choose to spend it .
