End Of Life Consult?
frankie is our 15 and a half year old cat. she has hyperthyroidism and some issue with her nasal cavity (perhaps a tumor) which causes her to sneeze very large quantities of snot on everything. due to her age i pted not to have her nasal cavity biopsied. anyway, i have been saying for month that sometimes she seems confused. yesterday i determined that she must be confused because she peed on the bathroom floor. which is no where near her litter box. her whole life she never had litter box problems. i saw her wandering around that spot on the bathroom and so i took her upstairs to her litter box and she promptly jumped in it and peed. if she were that confused wouldn't she poop somewhere else too. does she hate her litter box all of a sudden? it's been over a week since i rearranged the room they are in. that could be the problem but i would have thought she would have retaliated immediately. i don't know what her deal is. i know it's cruel andit breaks my heart to even think about it but i am looking forward to her death. she can't pee on the floor in our nw place because it has wall to wall carpeting (we have wood) and it's a rental. this sucks! what do i do about this cat?
