Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I know I dont update us much as I used to, so this could be a long entry. (Just thought I'd warn you.)
Senior retreat was sooooooooo much fun! We played cards during our breaks and all the talk topics really made me think about my life. Luckily, my thoughts were all good! I think I got 4 hours of sleep that night and then when I got back, I had to go to cheerleading tryouts. It was interesting trying to learn a cheer and a dance while being about to fall over from lack of sleep. Everyone should try it sometime! Tryouts went well and I made the squad. We had fittings Tuesday, and practice starts next Monday. Our first game is December 2nd. Next Friday I think. It should be cool. There are 16 girls on the squad. A couple that I dont really know, and one or two that I am really not a big fan of. And, since we are voting for our captains this season, I have a chance to be captain. I'm not sure if I could handle being captain, but I think it would be cool to be co-captain. But I will be happy as long as Rachel isnt in one of those positions because if you give her a little power, she takes over and becomes Ms. Dictator, almost like a mini-Communist. Sorry for the reference, but its the only thing I can think to compare her to.
School is normal. Tons of work from Ms. Collins, yet all the work has no relevance to our learning. It is all just busy work that doesnt help us with anything except the lose of our sanity. Calculus and physics are fun. Math team started last week and engineering team starts next week. I cant wait!! This year is going to be great. The Calc math team is finally going to take Gulf Breeze and PHS's teams and win! THe Algebra team (which I am the coach of) is going to be really prepared and win as well. The varsity engineering team is going to be first in the nation and the JV team is going to learn some basic calculus so they can live up to last year's team and be first in the nation as well! But, other than that, I am so glad we have this 5 day break from school! I really needed it. And the scary thing is that 11 days after this break, CHS seniors have their last set of finals for the year!
My brother came home last night. He leaves again Saturday morning because he and my dad are going to the Georgia Georgia Tech game Saturday night. The whole family then went to the boys soccer game at CHS where the boys almost mercy ruled West FL Tech!
I cant wait till Christmas!!! Hopefully by then, I'll have heard from Notre Dame. I might have heard from Marquette by then too (I only turned my application in Tuesday) cause they have rolling admissions. Who knows! I cant wait to see my cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc (basically, my whole family) over Xmas break! Richmond here we come!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I might post some random pics later.
