(no subject)
An Important Person at work decided to schedule a meeting before normal-person work hours today. (I should note that many people like to start work at 7 AM or even earlier. Despite the obvious problems with this, management does nothing. I just hope Dolly Parton doesn't get word of this practice.) The people in my group have much longer drives now, so this really sucks for us. This Important Person softened the blow by offering bagels and coffee. I'll rarely buy bagels, but I'll eat a free one now and then. Coffee, on the other hand…I love the smell of it but don't like the taste, unless you cut it with so much milk and sugar that it doesn't count as coffee anymore. Every so often I have to taste some, just in case I've suddenly started liking it. I haven't tried it in years and I knew I'd need the caffeine, so I figured I'd give it another try.
