Mockumentaries

Today, I present for your entertainment two mockumentaries. Unflinching Triumph: The Philip Rockhammer Story follows a competitor in the sport of Professional Staredown as he stares his way to the national championship. They used to have a full-length version (~45 minutes) of the movie on there, but it appears that you'll have to look for it elsewhere. They maintain such a serious tone throughout the most farcical of scenes that I couldn't decide whether to find it absurdly funny or just absurd. March of the Librarians takes a different approach. It takes unscripted footage of a librarian convention and adds a voice-over that could come from a nature documentary. Watch carefully and learn to identify the various types of librarian from their characteristics such as facial plumage and behaviors like tote-rolling. If you like this one, watch the promo for the sequel, which you can find linked off that page.
