Nothing too exciting from the remainder of this weekend. James invited me to join the other Jameses in a Mario Strikers Charged assault. The Tri-James Experience Featuring Me failed to materialize, though, due to Triple's not showing. Three times we tried to win the Crystal Cup. The first time, we had a mediocre record going into the finals, but we made it to the boss showdown and ended up losing both matches without much scoring. We didn't even make it out of the semifinals in the second set. The third set saw our best attempt: we made it to Diddy Kong with a perfect record and even won the first match, but lost the second and third. Diddy has a really nasty special which removes one or more characters in a small area for several seconds, and when you add that to his arena, which vaporizes one minion on each team at the beginning of each play, it gets messy really fast. I don't know which deserves more blame: Triple for not showing or Canton for smelling funny (like bacon).

Sunday I went to Borders to pick up Metalocalypse before their 30% coupon expired. Joe called off dinner, so I went by Toys 'R Us to check on their game selection for their buy 2 get 1 free sale (Baten Kaitos Origins dropped to $20!) and headed back. At the apartment, I opened the new DVDs and tried to peel the stupid little security tag off the cardboard case they use. Of course, the glue sticks to the cardboard and tears it. Now the case doesn't look brutal at all. The jerks should put the tag on the plastic DVD holder part. To make it worse, the easter eggs kept skipping on my PS2. I wonder if I should return the thing. That done, I rounded out the night by trying out some new games. I hope the fact that I have to stand up my PS2 to play PS games doesn't mean the disc drive will die soon.

The highlights from today include some good music on the commute and cafeteria Mexican for lunch. Williams Street did reply to my angry message, but they missed the part where I suggested they stop putting those security stickers on the cardboard. They also missed the part where I complained about a DVD, not a CD. Let's see if they understand when I reply.
