I think we should enter on a blimp
So I thought maybe I should update. So here goes.
On Friday, I headed on up to Plymouth State with Matt, Danno, and Trev. It was a nice long two hour drive, but ohhhhhhhhhhhh was it worth it. We were a few of about 40 people who were prescreening the Dispatch Documentary, "The Last Dispatch". The movie comes out in July, but we were kinda testing it out and giving some feedback. The guys hadnt seen it yet either. Anyway, the movie was pretty good. It really captured the atmosphere of the last concert, and went into a lot of detail on all of the planning that really went into it. It also covered pretty much every aspect of the band, and really got into what the guys and the band as a whole are all about. It was funny at times, sad, and totally awesome. I highly recommend it to Dispatch fans and everyone else too. Anyway, after the movie we hung around a bit and talked to some people, and then headed on over to the Plymouth House of Pizza for some dinner. Good stuff. There tagline was "When was the last time you got a piece?". I got a kick out of that, cuz all the waitresses had them on.
Alright...so....after that we went to the State Radio, Throwback, and Hows Your News? show. Hows Your News? was awesome, you should check out their site at www.howsyournews.com ....great stuff. Throwback was a nice surprise, they had a great sound. State Radio was awesome as usual, and they ended up playing for like an hour and a half. They even played some stuff I hadnt heard in a while, like Mr. Larkin. Yeah. So thats that.
Last night I hung out with Laura, and that was an awesomely awesome time as usual.
And now...Sunday night, and vacations basically over.
