The shop's closed for Christmas, so no one will be downstairs. And Rachel's away visiting friends for the Holidays, so no chance of her sneaking in while Faith's there.
The elevator doors open and they step out into the loft. The floors are all hardwood. A landing leads from the elevator to the stairs, which are on the left, and the bedroom on the right. As you come down the stairs to the left is the sunken living room - the sofa curls around in a half-circle (if there's a TV it's deep in the corner across from the sofa); the kitchen would be somewhere to the right in the corner; behind the living room, directly behind the stairs, is a set of double doors that reveal a circular room that houses most of Connor's collected pieces from the last 4 centuries, it has a sunken couch that circles the entire room and an octagonal window in the ceiling.
Steel I-beams support the balcony/loft landing and the roof and there are tall windows on all the walls, but no one would be able to see inside from the ground. There are swords and weapons and various other objects - including a grand piano - that he has collected, plus memorabilia type items all around the loft - not in large numbers, just around. It's a nice space - not nearly as high-tech as Nick's; in fact, there probably isn't a lot of "tech" at all, really. Just a simple living space.
There is a small Christmas tree in the corner across from the stairs - but only because Rachel insists on putting it up every year. It's decorated with white lights and silver tinsel. That's all. Connor doesn't have ornaments.
[edited b/c I went back and took a closer look at the movie *g*]
