*sneaks online*
So. Yes. Home internet leads to frequent updates. In a bizarre alternate reality involving shrimp. Or possibly Jonathan becoming a paragon (guess who watched Season 4 Buffy last night?).
But I'm here now. So
esso can stop bugging me for an update, yes? And get back to her rather cute (if bleak) fanship (go
here if you're interested in hers and others!). Which is far cooler than I could do, mainly because I'd have too much "self-respect" (I'm calling it "standing on one's dignity" or "being a nancing ponce" from now on) to attempt to do it. Unless I was drunk, or stoned. Don't get any ideas, Es!
So. My life. Uh... Friday night was lots of fun, Haloing and drinking and general jollities. Well, until about 2am, when I started showing certain... let's call them "Morningstar" qualities. Most people should get the rather lame joke, if they know what her name means. Again, guys, I'm really sorry I got like that, and that I took it out on you. Must Halo much more often, in a bid to decrease suckiness!
Saturday was fairly seedy. But I got to watch
dorukai/Chris's Japanese release Nausicaa! Soooo pretty! Although
bellyra/Sara was right: it ends way too abruptly. Thank heavens the manga continues. *sniffs* Need to find Nausicaa Perfect Collection Volume 5 now! There's just so much more to read. And I'm intrigued to know just how much worse things can get, before they get better. Miyazaki's really not nice to his characters, is he?
Sunday was mostly sleepy-tired, catching up on uni-work. Well, that was the theory, anyway. The practice became watching Angel and Buffy and Futurama (gods, that series is so much better than Simpsons! Though Ewan will probably kill me for saying that...). Ah well...
Yesterday was okay, uni-wise. Old English still rocks, though I'm beginning to realise again just how much work I've got cut out for me. Philosophy is deadly dull. Thank heavens I already know the material, and that the lecture notes go up on the web, cos I don't think I've really paid any attention to the last three or four lectures. And that could make passing the exam a bitch. But.
Today was just Philosophy again. I ignored it quite happily, and concentrated on my Harry Potter fanfic again. I really do need to get that thing written, if only so people stop saying "That sounds so cool, write it!" But I keep telling myself I can't write it until the sixth book comes out. So we may be waiting for a while, folks, before Harry Potter and the Legend of Hogwarts finally becomes anything other than one of my more involved brain-flashes. Can't believe I've been working on it for nearly three years. I'm so sad and obsessed! *evilchuckles* It's so fun, being comfortable with my geekiness!
Anyway, came home early, skipping Shakespearean lecture (more deadly dull). Bumped into Rachel as she was getting off the train, coming home from school. Made me feel much safer, when it turned out creepy-guy Desiree had been on the same train, and didn't just ignore me, but called out to me. If Rach hadn't been there, he probably would've offered me a lift, or something. So *phew*.
When she got home, Rachel decided she'd start tidying her room. Here's a lesson, kids: never do that if you're in a bad mood! Things just fall on you, or break, or spiders get angry and bite you (all of which happened to her in the space of about half an hour). It might've been a white-tail which bit her, too. So my sister's arm might rot away. And you know the worst bit? She'll probably still be prettier than me!
But yes, she's on a spider hunt now. Poor spider. And then she wants this computer, to talk to people on the internet (my sister's using instant messengers! o_O My sister is becoming a net geek! My world is spinning out of control!). I'll have to remind her we need to talk to mum first, about this Sunday.
But Ewan's on his way here right now, and tomorrow we'll be picking up my new pair of glasses, and I have Cadbury cashew chocolate. So life is of an average of good.
Bye!
