City-slickers who whine about 4" of snow are pansy wusses.
This just gives you a basic idea of what kind of snowfall we've been seeing around here. Notice you can't even see the back wheel of my car because it's completely buried. And that's not the worst of it. The worst is that I completely cleaned my car off (only traces of snow left) the day before this picture was taken.
This is the third time in 18 hours this walkway has needed shoveling. Seriously. My step-dad shoveled it about 2pm, I shoveled it again at 7pm, and now it's 8am and I'm shoveling it again.
Done. Now I get to go shovel the driveway of the two-car garage.
The real fun, though, is out at the barn. Let's go down there...
Except first we have to get these gates open. These are a bit obnoxious even in good weather. See the little black area at the bottom of the farther gate? That's a 6" wheel to make the gate open easier. It's totally lost in the snow.
It doesn't look so bad...
Oh wait, we have to shovel all this snow out of the way before we can open the doors. Hey, it's only knee-high, how bad can it be!
And lest you think that's light, fluffy snow... That shit is like chunks off a damn iceberg.

Third shoveling of the driveway. The turkeys have been here. Size of that track is impressive. That's my (6' tall person) boot-print next to it for scale.

These pretty much speak for themselves. The only thing you might want to know is that the shovel is 5 feet tall (top of my shoulder) when stood up straight, as it is in all theses.
Finally: You know those people in the news bragging about their new hydrophobic coatings? How come none of them are putting that shit on a snow shovel??
