New Zealand is gorgeous!! Absolutely stunning!

I did so much and saw so many pretty landscapes and scenery. I went to NZ with Graham, Sarah (a friend from Brisbane), and Erica (Sarah's friend from home, who is studying in Melbourne). It was such an amazing road trip!

Alright here goes the recap:

Day 1 Our flight was delayed 2 hours so we didn't arrive in Christchurch until 2:30 a.m. We all attemped to sleep in the airport but that was a huge failure!

Day 2 GLOW WORM CAVING. We all got decked out in full wet suit apparel, boots, and helmets with lights on 'em. We hiked 30 minutes to the underwater cave and then about an hour in the cave. We got soaked but it was so much fun! We slid down a waterfall, going completely underwater. We all got inner tubes and turned our lights off to see the glow worms. Before heading back when we reached the end of the cave, we got hot chocolate and chocolate. It was freeeezing!
To get to the caves, we had to drive through the Southern Alps. It was about a 3 hr drive from Christchurch. It was absolutely gorgeous --- right out of "Lord of the Rings," but little scary because of the windy roads.
We slept at the Ranch for one night in Greymouth.

Day 3 FOX GLACIER. We hiked up a glacier! It was gorgeous, a little rainy, but AMAZING! We had cool spikes for our shoes and a walking stick, to make sure we didn't fall on our butts. It was AWESOME! We stayed over night in a really nice motel, with comfy beds and plenty of tea to drink!

Day 4 QUEENSTOWN. Probably my favorite place! It was absolutely gorgeous!!! It took about 4.5 hours from Fox Glacier. The town was on a gorgeous lake, with beautiful mountains in the background. It was a very cute town, with tons of unique cafes and shops to venture in. When we got to Queenstown, we checked into our motel and then went into the town. We had a really yummy dinner at this pizza place. We had a few drinks and then went back to our motel, to get some sleep for SKY DIVING THE NEXT DAY!

Day 5 SKY DIVING IN WANAKA! We all went sky diving and it was awesome. I was a little nervous but so excited. The free fall wasn't as scary as I thought. It was just so beautiful and the best feeling ever. I did a 45 second free fall from 12,000 ft. We had lunch in Wanaka and then made our way to Te Anau.

Day 6 MILFORD SOUND. We drove from Te Anau to Milford Sound and went on a 2 hr cruise around the sound. It was gorgeous, a little cloudy and rainy, but still once again, BEAUTIFUL! The whole South Island was beautiful. So, here is where things get a little interesting, our car started making weird noises when we got back to Te Anau. Our brake pads were going! There were no brake pads in Te Anau, so we were advised we could make it to Gore, so we went there, slept over, and got our car fixed the next day.

Day 7 GORE -> DUNEDIN. Our last and final stop before heading back to Christchurch to catch our flights. We all walked around, did some shopping, ate Thai for dinner, and headed back to the garage where our car was parked. THE GARAGE WAS CLOSED!! So, our car was stuck! We called the number on the side of the building to get our car released, and that was CLOSED! We then headed to the police, and finally got the car out, after almost having slight heart attacks. We drove through the night to Christchurch

Day 8 The two other ladies we were travelling with were going to Sydney (best buds from home), and Graham and I were going back to Brisbane. They had a flight a 6 a.m., while our flight was at 3:30 p.m. So, we went into Christchurch for breakfast and relaxed there before our flight! And, then we went home!

Pictures soon!
