Truly, I do have some mixed feelings about Manny Ramirez leaving the Red Sox. When he is on and committed to the Sox, he is fantastic. However, he has been anything BUT committed for the past couple of months, so overall, I'm not sorry to see him go.
I don't know much about the new guy we're getting, but I'm hoping this will be the same kind of shot in the arm for the Sox that trading Nomar (Nomaaah) Garciaparra was, not so very long ago.
