i really, really loev baseball.
i google detroit tigers under google news everyday and read all the uplifting articles...
it amazes me. i think its my dads way of congratulating me and my mom for finally getting our lives together. yeah baseball!!@!
i get shivers down my spine everytime i read an article that mentions the idea of an october.
three months ago, you can ask any of my friends, i was again a hardcore tigers fan, and i thought this year would be "the year"...
but "the year" for a tigers fan meant having a .500 season. the idea of an october never even registered in my MIND. it wasnt possible.. and now ive gnoe from being excited about getting to .500 to being excited abotu the serious plausability of playoffs. IN DETROIT!!!
it would happen the one year that im not in detroit, the one year im livnig in red sox country and can't go to a crapload of games.
being here makes me wnoder what baseball fever is like at home. how into baseball people are getting, how happening the bars around comerica park and through greektown are during the game...
i can go anywhere here and see a packed bar watching any given red sox game. and last summer this would have been my heaven. and i still love it, dont get me wrong.. but i want fox sports detroit, not NESN.. i want pudge, not varitek, i want bonderman, not shilling....
i can't wait to get home. i already have plans for two games, and if tehre is an october, you can bet your ass i will drop 300 bucks to get a standing room only ticket to a game. do i have 300 dollars? no...
will i find a way to get it? uh, mo debiably bob...
i bet my cousin is kicking his ass for not getting season tickets this year. he's gotten em for the past 3 seasons... ah well.
